Since my mother had a "good" death in hospice care in Cambridge in 2004, I have been supporting Hospice Peterborough as a way to say thank you for all that was done for her and my family. But I also personally benefited from the grief groups I attended after my father died a year later in 2005, and my dear John died unexpectedly, in 2008. The sessions were life changing and life affirming as I began the difficult grief journey that followed. Helping establish the Hospice Singers to sing at bedside was another way I have been able to give back to this beautiful organization that helps so many. Work demands and Covid put a pause on my involvement, but knowing of friends who have been able to die in hospice care and with bedside singing starting up again, I wanted to use this virtual hike opportunity to raise funds so I could again return to supporting Hospice Peterborough this year. "When death takes my hand, I will hold you with the other, and promise to find you in every lifetime." Rupi Kaur With gratitude, Kate
