Hello My Friends! This note is a little late (VERY late) but I was brought up with the understanding "it is never too late"! I walk in memory of my mother and father, Sheila and Don MacDonald! I have been a volunteer for Hospice Peterborough for almost a decade and have felt this is the best "opportunity" I have ever experienced in my life because of - The difference Hospice Peterborough makes and has made in the lives of those in their last months, weeks, days of their life! The difference Hospice Peterborough makes and has made in the lives of those that are losing, have lost and are grieving a loved one. The difference Hospice Peterborough provides to those in need of support and care at any stage of palliative and grief. The difference Hospice Peterborough has made to my family and myself with the support they have provided to us through the deaths of both my mom and dad. I know that so many individuals, families and friends have, are and will continue to benefit from the support of Hospice Peterborough with the support of our generous friends and community. I have had a recent partial knee replacement and I am 100% committed to both paddling my Kayak around Blade Island on the lake our cottage is located and hike/walk/ 3.9km (and return) our cottage lake road!
