Hi Everyone, My name is Jenna Gabourie. This is one of my very good friends Carley Hartwick. Carley was a former student at James Strath and at Crestwood. Carley was in a terrible car accident on December 22, 2012. She was driving when she got struck by another vehicle. She was rushed to Lindsay and air lifted to Toronto. Carley suffered very severe injuries and passed away the next day.rnThis year is very big for me as this is my tenth year jumping! I'm jumping for my guardian angel. My jump five years ago when she passed went to the Critical Care Unit at Sunnybrook in her name. After that her family created some awards and scholarships in her name, where the raised money has gone since. There is now a Carley Hartwick Memorial Fund. Her family has done a wonderful job making sure her name and spirit lives on! The first scholarship is a dance scholarship with A Frost Dance Experience. The second is a media scholarship for a high school student going to college/ university. Carley was the girl who always had a smile on her face. She’s the one that every time you look over at her you can see her singing to herself and possibly showing off some dance moves. She is the one who you love to laugh at because she can’t read an analog clock. The one who has the best hugs and the one you can’t wait to go home to talk to on the phone! She was an amazing friend and co-worker and now guardian angel!rn
